Rào cản cách ly này được sử dụng cho các ứng dụng an toàn nội tại. Nó chuyển tín hiệu kỹ thuật số (cảm biến NAMUR / tiếp điểm cơ học) từ khu vực nguy hiểm đến khu vực an toàn.
Mỗi cảm biến khoảng cách hoặc công tắc điều khiển một đầu ra bóng bán dẫn thụ động cho tải khu vực an toàn. Trạng thái đầu ra bình thường có thể được đảo ngược bằng cách sử dụng công tắc S1 cho kênh I và công tắc S2 cho kênh II. Công tắc S3 bật hoặc tắt tính năng phát hiện lỗi đường dây của mạch trường.
Trong điều kiện lỗi, các bóng bán dẫn trở lại trạng thái không có năng lượng và đèn LED cho biết lỗi theo NAMUR NE44.
